Creative Music Program
The Creative Music Program, an expansion of Kimmel Center Youth Jazz Ensemble (KCYJE), is a full, school year music program. The program is intended for teenagers between the ages of 11-19, and focuses primarily on stimulating each student’s creative faculties, whilst simultaneously developing their overall musicianship. Featuring various ensembles including KCYJE, guest master classes and a host of professional teaching artists, the course is a well rounded program whose goal is to prepare the student for a career in music, or their continuation on to an institute of higher learning.
Curriculum includes:
- Free Music Sessions
- Improvisation Lessons
- Master Classes
- Public Performances
- Special Guest Artists
- Jazz History sessions
